Daniel Joppert

For over a decade, Daniel Joppert has explored territories, behaviors, and collective imaginaries through a cross-disciplinary approach combining research, visual storytelling, and cultural engagement.
Founder of JoPA Compañía Creativa, he has led over 130 projects for major clients (Netflix, YouTube, Itaú, AB InBev...) and coordinated two applications for Brazilian cities to join the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (Taubaté – Music City; Bauru – Media Arts City).
Since 2019, Daniel has been developing “creative expeditions”—independent immersive journeys through rural or marginalized regions of Brazil, Cuba, and the Caribbean.
There, he documents the connections between memory, craftsmanship, ecology, popular culture, and the creative economy from a decolonial and place-based perspective.
His work lies at the crossroads of science, culture, and spirituality. He investigates biospheric life forms cultivated by ancestral peoples of the Americas and the possibility of rekindling ecological and collective intelligence to support a regenerative society.
In 2024–2025, he is leading the Residencia A La Traverse project, spanning Colombia and France, dedicated to rediscovering Indigenous cosmologies and living craft economies. The project will culminate in a book, documentary films, photographic portraits, and oral archives.
