La Traverse develops residency-workshops dedicated to experimentation, creation, and research in the fields of art, ecology, and science. Open to artists, researchers, writers, artisans, thinkers, and practitioners from diverse disciplines, it welcomes unique approaches that explore the boundaries between intuitive knowledge and technical expertise. Conceived as a space for both work and connection, La Traverse provides a supportive environment for the development of specific projects, whether individual or collective, and whether or not they are linked to the local area.

In 2025, the residency expanded its scope by opening a second location on the Mediterranean coast: La Traverse à la mer, in the historically inspiring Catalonian frontier village of Banyuls-sur-Mer. This new site offers a geographical anchor for residencies attuned to the rhythm of the waves, in an environment conducive to attentiveness, slowness, and experimentation connected to the living world.
